SAMSUNG'S NEW DUAL-SCREEN FLIP PHONE LEAKED IMAGES

Samsung, which has already released Android-based clamshell devices in the past, is reportedly working on a new flip phone. While the company is yet to make any official announcement about the new flip phone, images of the rumoured handset have already been leaked through Chinese regulatory authority TENNA.

Images of the device (unofficial named SM-W2016) have appeared on the Tenaa listing and hint at a design similar to its other flip phones i.e., the Galaxy Golden (SM-W2014) and the Galaxy Golden 2 (SM-W2015).

The model number of the leaked phone suggests it to be a successor of the Galaxy Golden 2 and, therefore, is expected to be named the Galaxy Golden 3, but according to a SamMobile report, "the device will not be called the Galaxy Golden 3," and in all likelihood will be released as as the Samsung SM-W2016.

Going by the leaked images, the phone is likely to come with a curved rear shell, similar to what we have seen on the Galaxy Se6 and the Note 5.

Quite like Samsung's other recent clamshell handsets, the new phone is also said to come with two screens - one on the inside against the keypad, and other on the outside.

According to the listing on Tenna, the dual screen of the phone will measure 3.9 inches with a screen resolution of 1280x768 pixels. Based on Android 5.1.1 Lollipop, the phone will have an Exynos 7420 processor under the hood paired with 3 GB of RAM. Unlike the usual QWERTY keyboard, the phone will have an old T9-style keypad.

Other specs of the phone could include 64 internal storage, a 16-megapixel rear camera, and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera.
