Smart lock can be a life saver if you're unlocking your phone regularly, and Trusted Places is one of the most frequently used options. With Trusted Places, you can set locations where your phone will skip the secure lock method, but it hasn't been working so well as of late.
Many Android users have been complaining that the functionality has been inconsistent as of late occasionally wrongly identified unknown locations as trusted places, thus leaving the phone unlocked when it shouldn’t have.
The Play Services build version 11 started rolling out to Android devices earlier this week and should soon be available for download worldwide, provided that it isn’t already. According to a Google representative who replied to the thread, Trusted Places should be fixed in the latest version of Play Services.
